The 4Runner comes equipped with a great audio and multimedia suite. Designed to keep you connected while on the go, it impressively utilizes wireless technology, and it starts with an audio-enabled 8-inch touchscreen. Rounding it out is a collection of eight speakers alongside AM/FM radio.
The inclusion of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ capability is a prime example of options that come standard. Bluetooth® wireless capability does more than just allow smartphone access. An additional technology feature is the 1-year trial of both Connected Services and Safety Connect. These wireless apps cover specific areas of ownership. For example, Connected Services has the Toyota app, giving you access to your 4Runner from your smartphone.
Safety Connect gives you access to important services, including enhanced road assistance and an emergency button that’ll connect you to a 24/7 response center. It’s a feature for peace of mind.

When preparing for the next adventure, space is important to consider whether that means comfortable seating for you and your passengers or enough space to back the necessary cargo. Looking at the interior measurements of the 4Runner, we see there is generous space for all passengers:

Toyota 4Runner: Interior Safety Features
While the 4Runner has impressive safety technology, what about inside the cabin itself? An extensive system of airbags placed throughout the cabin is just one way the 4Runner keeps you safe. These eight airbags include:
- Driver and front passenger TAP (Thorax, Abdomen, Pelvis)
- Front seat-mounted side airbag
- Driver and front passenger knee airbags
- Front and all row Roll-sensing Side Curtain Airbags (RSCA)
Along with this sophisticated airbag system, the 4Runner also sports 3-point seatbelts for all seating positions, keeping everyone locked in.
