Have you met the 2021 Toyota Highlander yet? If not, let us introduce you. The 2021 Highlander was designed to elevate everyday driving, taking your daily commute through the Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, and Ormond Beach, Florida, areas from commonplace to captivating.

The team here at Daytona Toyota can’t wait to show off this spacious SUV inside our showroom. Before your visit, however, why not read up on all the Highlander has to offer through the sections and referenced reviews here? We think you’ll like what you see!

Highlander Performance & Fuel Efficiency

Toyota Highlander Engine SpecsDid you know the Toyota Highlander offers a duo of energetic engines? That’s right!

Opening the hood on the standard Highlander L, you’ll find a 3.5-liter V6, which delivers up to 295 horsepower, 263 lb-ft of torque, and an EPA-estimated 21 city and 29 highway MPG.* It packs on the power, creating smooth and controlled driving conditions.

If you decide to take the hybrid route, you’ll experience a 2.5-liter powertrain engine, netting 186 horsepower, 175 lb-ft of torque, and an EPA-estimated 36 city and 35 highway MPG.* This engine rules over the pump. You can even drive right past it.

Moreover, just as this SUV offers two engines, it also provides two distinct drivetrains in the form of Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD).

2021 Toyota Highlander Keeps You Safe & Sound

Toyota Highlander SafetyWhile the team at Toyota has given the Highlander many great qualities, perhaps the greatest—and most important—of them all are the people you’ll add to it.

That’s why every Highlander model is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.5+, a suite of driver-assistive features consisting of:

  • Lane Tracing Assist
  • Road Sign Assist
  • Automatic High Beams
  • Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
  • Pre-Collision System with Low-Light Pedestrian Detection
  • Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

Let’s take a closer look at some of these systems. Like, Automatic High Beams (AHB), for example. AHB was built to detect the headlights and taillights of other drivers. It will use this information to automatically switch between your high and low beams when driving at night at speeds above 25 MPH.

Highlander’s Spacious & Accommodating Interior Cabin

Toyota Highlander Interior SpaceWhether you’re packing your car for a trip to the beach, or dropping the kids off at baseball practice, having a vehicle with enough space to carry it all is crucial. Luckily, the Toyota Highlander offers all of this, and then some.

One of the Highlander’s biggest advantages in the space department is its three rows of seating, bringing the passenger total up to eight. Speaking of the third row, if you don’t need it for guests, fold it down to gain access to 48.4 cubic feet of cargo volume.

That’s not all, though. This cabin is accommodating in more ways than its dimensions. You’ll find plenty of available extras throughout, such as Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging.
