Performance

The 2019 Toyota Highlander comes equipped with a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The optional engine is a 3.5-liter V6 with lively acceleration and plenty of power that mates to a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission.

Despite its powerful engines, the Highlander boasts a car-like ride quality that’s comfortable and quiet. It’s also a sure-footed, stable vehicle that can handle nearly any driving situation. Interior

Throughout the cabin, several small bins and cubbies are available for passengers to stow their keys, wallets, phones, and other personal belongings.

Technology

The 2019 Toyota Highlander comes with a long list of standard features to make the drive more enjoyable and entertaining. A 6.1-inch touchscreen, voice commands, and five USB ports are standard, though features like an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, HD Radio™, and smartphone-linked navigation are available. The infotainment system is straightforward and easy to use, especially with the large touchscreen and available built-in navigation.
