When comparing their engine performances, there is more power found under the hood of the Toyota RAV4. It comes powered by a 203-horsepower 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. With the Honda CR-V, you’ll find a standard 190-horsepower 1.5L 4-cylinder engine.

The RAV4 also has an available hybrid powertrain, which gets even better gas mileage. Its hybrid engine is able to achieve an EPA-estimated 41 city/38 highway MPG.¹
