2020 Toyota Tacoma Review
Looking for a robust set of wheels for your journeys near Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, New Smyrna, and Ormond Beach? Something seriously powerful and capable of conquering even the toughest of everyday duties? Then the team at Daytona Toyota has three words for you: The Toyota Tacoma.
This heavy-hitting vehicle is ready to make you road royalty, and our 2020 Toyota Tacoma review will tell you how. From its performance and capability to its interior and more, we think this pickup is going to knock your socks right off.
2020 Tacoma Performance & Towing
The Tacoma is ready when you are thanks to its vigorous under-the-hood configuration. There are two engines to choose for this truck, each offering a unique combination of strength and capability that will suit what you have in store.
The standard engine is the 2.7L 4-cylinder with Variable Valve Timing. This powertrain offers up to 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque, which is perfect for cruising around the city with optimal power. However, for more strength, the 3.5L V6 is also available.
This engine amps things up with 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque, but that isn’t all. With the standard Tow Package, you can trailer up to 6,800 pounds. Plus, with Trailer-Sway Control, which adapts brake pressure and optimizes engine torque, your load is easier to maintain.
Toyota Tacoma Off-Roading
We know trucks have plenty of power and can tow what you need, but the 2020 Tacoma takes things one step further. This pickup was engineered to off-road like a champion and has the technology to prove it.
- Crawl Control: Available in the TRD trim, Crawl Control automatically controls your throttle on brakes, making it easy to crawl over tough terrains.
- Multi-terrain Select: Equipped with five selectable modes, this system adjusts power and traction allowing you to easily tackle a myriad of off-roading conditions.
- Hill Start Assist Control (HAC): Simply put, this helps you get up hills safely. By minimizing rollback, you can seamlessly climb uphill with little resistance.
- Multi Terrain Monitor (MTM): When off-roading, this monitor allows you to view your surroundings, so you know what is in store.
Tacoma Technology
Even more advancements are inside The Toyota Tacoma, making your drives (whether they’re on or off the road) more enjoyable. Keeping connected is easy thanks to Apple CarPlay®, a supporting system that allows you to integrate your smartphone with your vehicle for app access, making phone calls, and more.
To keep you informed about what is around you, an integrated backup camera with rear parking sonar is available. This helps when backing out of your garage, while parking your truck, and on the trail, letting you know if an obstruction is behind you.
