Last but not least, the hybrid 2020 Corolla. It has a 1.8L 4-cylinder DOHC that’s mated to an Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (ECVT). You can expect a fuel economy of an EPA-estimated 53 city/52 highway MPG¹.

Interior Technology

Who doesn’t like to stay connected wherever they travel? Well, you can in the 2020 Corolla thanks to its native 7-inch touchscreen integrated with Apple CarPlay® and Amazon Alexa. This interface also has Siri® Eyes Free, which allows you to control music and navigation via voice controls. That way, you get to enjoy your drive while remaining focused on the road.

You may be thinking, “They mentioned music but not any speakers.” The standard audio system offers crisp sound from six speakers. However, our audiophiles reading along will appreciate the available premium JBL® audio system with Clari-Fi™ technology and nine speakers in total.

The Toyota Corolla has you covered when it comes to parking assistance, too. Simply use the integrated backup camera with guidelines to maneuver into place. This ensures that there won’t be a need for your passenger to get out and direct you into a tight parallel parking spot.

Safety First

Toyota manufactures some of the safest cars out on the road. We’ll begin with some of the more standard features. These include Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), and a Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS).

Additionally, most of the models in this year’s lineup are fitted with the Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0 (TSS 2.0), including the 2020 Corolla. This means that you can expect a number of advanced technologies, such as a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA).

The PCS w/PD helps to prevent and mitigate frontal collisions by alerting you to an imminent accident and then applying automatic brake pressure. When you sway out of lane, the LDA w/SA will notify you before it activates suggestive steering movements to keep you on the right path.
