Mechanic7,500 Mile Service

Before you start any service, you need to understand how frequently you must get them. Repeat every service in regular intervals in reference to when you first got them. For example, you’d repeat this service every 7,500 miles. That may seem pretty often, but all you have to do here is get a simple oil and oil filter change. It’s a good idea to rotate your tires too.

15,000 Mile Service

This service is generally the same as the previous one, but you should start getting essential parts of your Highlander inspected. Make sure the belts and hoses are holding together and look at the brakes as well. If you frequently drive with a lot of cargo or passengers, your brake pads might already be worn. Don’t forget to change your air filter here too.

30,000 Mile Service

For this service, you need to start replacing some of your fluids. The engine coolant, brake fluid and transmission fluid should all be flushed and replaced. Your spark plugs should also be replaced at this point. Make sure your tires still have good tread on them too.

60,000 Mile Service

After 60,000 miles, you’re going to see some more extensive repairs. If you haven’t replaced your brake pads yet, you absolutely need to do it here. Your drive belt and timing belt are also probably pretty worn at this point, so switch them out too.

Brake Repair Mechanic90,000 Mile Service

The main thing you have to worry about in this service is your hoses. They’ve probably become significantly worn at this point, so go ahead and have them replace with the engine coolant hose in particular. If they’re not leaking yet, they soon will be.

120,000 Mile Service

It’s your 120,000-mile service, and you can still hold on to your Highlander for a while. You just need a few extra services done. Go ahead and replace your shock absorbers and your engine mount. The steering and suspension components may also need to get replaced. This service will be a bit costly, so make sure you’re prepared going in.
