Powerful on the Highway & Competitive at the Pump

The 2017 Toyota Camry offers three powerful engine options for you to choose from. The Camry’s standard engine, equipped on the LE, SE, XLE, and XSE, is a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 178 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. This engine gets an EPA-estimated 24 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway for a combined 27 MPG.*

The Toyota Camry XLE and XSE are offered with a more powerful engine. The 3.5L V6 engine produces up to 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque. This engine gets up to an EPA-estimated 21 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway for a combined 24 MPG.*

If those two powerful and fuel-efficient options aren’t to your liking, the Toyota Camry is offered with a hybrid engine option. This 2.5L 4-cylinder engine produces up to 200 horsepower, plus the engine is exceedingly efficient at an EPA-estimated 42 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway for a combined 40 MPG,* allowing you to practice good car-ma.

Room with a View

As a midsize sedan, the 2017 Toyota Camry is marketed to be a happy medium between the large and small car class. Spacious in every direction, this aptly sized cruiser doesn’t disappoint. Need room for five to ride in space and style? 41.6 inches of front-seat legroom and 38.9 inches of rear-seat legroom make it 100% possible. Sculpted cutaways in the seats and cabin panels contribute to these rock star midsize sedan dimensions.

There’s also a cavernous trunk out back, where you can pack away family groceries for the week, briefcases and backpacks for work and school, or luggage for an impromptu getaway. The 15.4 cubic feet in the trunk can expand if needed by split folding the rear seatback to make a convenient pass-through for longer items.

In the Toyota Camry XSE, you can bump the car’s sense of luxury up a few notches when you opt for the available sport leather-trimmed seats that feature premium black leather and eye-catching red accent stitching.

Convenience Features in the 2017 Camry

As with its powertrain, the comfort and convenience features of the 2017 Toyota Camry vary according to which trim level you want, but rest assured that regardless of which level you pick, you’re in for a smooth and comfortable ride.

Features that come standard across all trim levels include cruise control, electric power steering, a backup camera, heated mirrors, interior air filtration, and steering wheel-mounted audio, cruise, and transmission controls.

The highest trim level, the Camry XSE, adds climate control, keyless ignition, hands-free entry, dual illuminating vanity mirrors, an electrochromatic interior rearview mirror, and a universal remote transmitter for your home garage door or security system.

In terms of comfort, the basic trim level, the SE, includes an 8-way power driver seat, a driver’s seat with powerful adjustable lumbar support, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and 4-way manual passenger seat adjustment. When you upgrade to the XSE, you’ll exchange the manually adjusted passenger seat for a 4-way power passenger seat, and add on a multi-level heating driver and passenger seat.

Toyota Entune™ Connectivity

Technology in transit can energize your drives while keeping you and your passengers entertained, connected to your plans, and arriving on time to your destination. A handful of smart systems make these capabilities possible in the 2017 Toyota Camry. For starters, there’s the Toyota Entune™ App Suite, where you can connect your car to useful apps like Pandora® internet radio, access the traffic or weather, or review and make a reservation at a nearby restaurant via OpenTable®.

With the Entune™ Premium Audio with Integrated Navigation system, your routes are displayed on the 7-inch center touchscreen. The system actively keeps you up to date on changes in traffic, then automatically suggests an alternative, faster route when a blockage or slowdown is reported in the area.
